As a third-generation adviser with over half my life in the industry, my passion stems from the relationships I build with my clients. While the numbers certainly need to add up, a strong foundation for an effective strategy and outcome is drawn from our meaningful relationships with our clients and our unwavering focus on improving their financial position. Our firm is among the few (<1%) with no conflicts of interest, ensuring our advice is solely in our clients’ best interest.
Being part of a large family, raising five sons with my amazing wife Georgia, I understand the challenges of raising a family and the desire to balance day-to-day enjoyment with a generational approach to wealth accumulation and management.
Georgia has joined dozzi from a background of Finance and Accounting.
Having spent time in Government agencies (such as the Office of State Revenue), retail companies and accounting firms, Georgia’s skills are exactly what dozzi need to accurately pursue positive change and prosperity.
Beginning his career during the depths of the Global Financial Crisis, Shaun views personal wealth through a lens of managing risks and capitalising on opportunities. His initial curiosity turned into a passion and led to over 12 years of investing and industry experience.
His experience includes time in London at Goldman Sachs, where he built relationships with institutional clients and assisted in managing their large equity-based portfolios, giving Shaun a truly global perspective. Returning to Australia in 2016 and having managed his own family’s wealth for a number of years, Shaun pivoted into wealth management, spending 3 years at Morgan Stanley assisting with the provision of advice to high-net-worth families.
Shaun then gained further experience at a boutique financial advice practice before joining Dozzi in early 2021. Seeing both the good and the bad during his time, Shaun was deeply motivated to join a firm that aligned with his core values of delivering genuinely personalised, client-centric, and conflict-free advice to a limited number of clients. He found this at Dozzi, where his fulfilment comes from building deep relationships with his clients and tailoring creative and detailed solutions to their evolving and often complex needs.
Shaun holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance from Queensland University of Technology, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. He is currently finalising his studies to obtain the Certified Financial Planner™ designation, the highest financial planning industry designation in the world.
Jake’s background is quite diverse and enriching. With a Bachelor of Finance & Financial Planning from Griffith University, he also pursued studies in Business Communications & Leadership at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte during a study-abroad experience. Jake’s passion for commerce led him to serve as the president of the Griffith University Commerce Society.
Starting his career at Morgans Stockbroking, Jake transitioned to dozzi Financial Advice to concentrate on his personal financial planning specialty. He has since become an invaluable member of the team. While Jake deeply values client service and fostering close relationships, he is also actively engaged in the dynamic and strategic aspects of dozzi’s operations. This involvement enhances his knowledge and expertise in assisting clients to develop long-term strategies.
As a devoted father, Jake cherishes time spent with his growing family. He is also an avid outdoorsman who relishes exploring Queensland’s most captivating ecosystems and fishing in his free time. With a wealth of knowledge about motorsports and AFL, Jake is always up for an engaging conversation.
