Meet our Team
As well as being dozzi’s Managing Director, Caleb is also the Founder and Senior Financial Adviser. Caleb has over 15 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, starting out at just 14 years old, working in the family business while completing school and university.
Caleb has always been passionate about a long career in financial planning and felt he could make a real difference to those around him, so he dedicated himself to learning and practising every role financial planning had to offer.
These vast experiences and thorough understanding of the financial services industry highlighted to Caleb plenty of great aspects of the industry, but also areas which he felt were out-dated, too expensive, and can at times favour firms providing the advice, not the clients paying for it.
Caleb realised that the only way to make a positive difference was to build it from scratch. This led to his decision to launch dozzi Financial Advice in January 2017.
What excites Caleb about the creation of dozzi, is that he can say that every decision made, centres around the needs of our clients. From our independence, our structure, our fee model and the way we work. It has all been carefully developed to deliver better value and service to our clients.
Caleb is committed to demonstrating value to his clients by offering them intelligent financial advice and a high level of customer service. He passionately believes in the role that tertiary education plays in adequately preparing Advisers to deliver great advice. Caleb holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning, Investments, and Accounting, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Personal Financial Planning. He was one of the youngest in Australia to complete the Certified Financial Planner™ qualification, the highest financial planning industry designation in the world.
Outside of the office Caleb can be found with his wife and three young boys (a large part of his motivation for dozzi), at the golf club, or keeping active at the gym.
Mellany (Mel) has been in the finance industry for 36 years, having gained experiences in financial institutions and banks, through to some of the largest Financial Services providers in Australia and boutique advice firms alike.
Mel’s experiences have brought her to dozzi for a number of reasons, with one of the stand out being the pursuit of positive change in the industry. dozzi’s goals and ambitions are closely aligned to Mel’s personal goals of improving peoples’ lives through intelligent financial advice. To create and pursue change in an established industry is no small act, it requires an ongoing commitment, day by day from individuals like Mel, who have the experience, values and dedication to make an impact.
Mel carefully oversees all client communication, ensuring that dozzi delivers on our ‘clients first’ approach and we remain on track in our pursuit of setting a new benchmark of service and value in the market.
Mel is also a contributing member of the Women in Finance group and has experience in the complex world of the Brisbane real estate industry.
When Mel isn’t in the office you can find her with her husband of 30 years and two beautiful children, or out in the Western Suburbs community which she has been heavily involved in for many decades. Mel is an active individual with fitness and health being important aspects of her life.
Ellie is an intelligent, experienced and extremely motivated Financial Adviser. Like all team members at dozzi, Ellie’s a campaigner of positive change in the Financial Services industry and her contribution to the dozzi team, business and strategies are living proof.
Ellie’s experiences are vast and are predominantly centred within the private sector of Financial Services in Australia. Calling Mackay home for childhood, Ellie’s specialities include Farming, Mining and general agriculture to name a few.
If you ask Ellie she will tell you that she’s truly passionate about cash flow planning for all individuals in any circumstance, as that’s where real and positive financial change begins.
Ellie’s commitment to positive change is further demonstrated by her commitment to improving the Industry through undergraduate and post graduate studies. Having completed her Bachelor of Business, majoring in Financial Planning, Ellie is also recognised as a Specialist in Self-Managed Super Funds and is in the final stages of her Certified Financial Planner™ qualification (being the peak industry qualification), with more plans for professional and post graduate education once this is finalised. Ellie is a financial planner with honesty and care at the forefront of her daily actions, when you speak with Ellie you’ll see this very quickly.
In an industry of minimal education requirements and strong links to legacy based operations and ethics, Ellie is certainly a pioneer and perfect example of the new breed of Financial Adviser, that will soon lead this industry through authenticity, education, care and positive change.
Georgia has joined dozzi from a back ground of Finance and Accounting.
Having spent time in Government agencies (such as the Office of State Revenue), retail companies and accounting firms, Georgia’s skills are exactly what dozzi need to accurately pursue positive change and prosperity.
Georgia has attained a Bachelor of Accounting and Professional Accounting from a leading Australian university (Queensland University of Technology) and now spends her time between the office and family of five, raising three young boys.
An educated, experienced Senior Adviser creating wealth through insightful and strategic financial planning.
Caleb holds the pinnacle industry qualifications of a Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Investments and Accounting.
Backed by years of experience and through integrity, energy and hard work he has built a reputation with high net worth clients for astute advice and tactical planning. Applying his degree qualifications in Accounting, he also brings an understanding of taxation and superannuation structures for his clients.
As an active contributor to the Stonehouse Investment Committee, Caleb uses a multifaceted knowledge base of investment assets, markets and economics, to benefit his clients in Australia and overseas by providing high quality investment advice.
Being passionate about continually improving the integrity of financial advice in Australia Caleb is Co-Chair of the Stonehouse Compliance Committee and is a member of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Privately, Caleb enjoys relaxing with his wife, Georgia, and son, Luca, as well as partaking in the odd round of golf as a member of the Indooroopilly Golf Club.
